Ruby Lee Whisenant Gentry

Ruby Lee Whisenant Gentry, 73, of Morganton, died Monday February 23, 2015 at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Valdese, after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Gentry was born March 5, 1941 in Burke County, a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Lola Blanche Freeman Whisenant. She was retired from Dana Corp. with over 25 years of service.

In addition to her parents was she was preceded in death by her husband Rex Joe Berry Gentry.

Surviving are her Children, Rex Gentry and fiance' Gail of Morganton, James Erik Gentry of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., Tracy Gentry McLean and husband John of Morganton and Nikki Lemus of Lenoir. Also surviving are two sisters, Louise Davis of VA , Rita Semones of Hickory, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service for Ruby Gentry will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday February 27, 2015 at Burke Memorial Park.
