Tony Whisenhunt

Anthony Leigh “Tony” Whisenhunt, age 36, of Monett, MO, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 24, 2015, at his residence in Monett.

Tony was born on August 1, 1978 in Neosho, MO, the son of James “Jim” Whisenhunt and Mary (Rosier) Whisenhunt Cypret. Tony graduated from Monett High School with the class of 1996 and most recently had worked for EFCO in the I.T. Dept. He had attended the Mt. Vernon Covenant Baptist Church and was always a hard worker and a loving father to his children.

Tony is survived by his son, Wyatt Anthony Whisenhunt and his daughter, Adri Anna Whisenhunt; his parents, James Whisenhunt and wife Patty, of Monett; his mother, Mary Cypret and husband David, of Hurley, MO; four brothers, James Gregory Whisenhunt and wife Melissa, Andrew Gurwell, Duane Cypret and Scott Cypret; seven sisters, Amy Hayworth, Barbie Gurwell and husband Randy, Amy Johnson, Jessica Rust and husband Michael, Michele Cypret, Missy King and husband John and Karen Cypret; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services for Tony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Reverend Jimmie Copley will be officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home.
