Danny Lee Whistnant

Danny Lee Whistnant, of New Britain, CT. died tragically Friday May 1, 2015. Danny,44, was reported missing in New Britain on June 25, 2003. Police said they found his remains and he is one of victims of a reported serial killer.

Danny Lee was born October 5, 1958 in Spartanburg, South Carolina and was the son of Bernice (Micheal) Whistnant and the late Clyde Whistnant.

He was a restaurant worker for Ponderosa for several years.

Danny Lee is survived by his son Danny Whistnant of New Britain, CT. and his daughter Bethany David of Palm Beach, FL., his two brothers Jerry Whistnant and Marvin Whistnant, his two sisters April Rich and Jennifer Whistnant all of New Britain, CT., his four grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Danny Lee was predeceased by his three brothers Ray, Clyde and Ricky Whistnant.

Homegoing Celebration will be held Tuesday June 16, 2015 at 1p.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT. with the Elder Dale I. Shaw, Pastor, presiding. Committal Service and final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain, CT.

Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home Tuesday from 12p.m. to 1p.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 East or West – Exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) right off exit – one mile down on right.
