Donna Rose Whisnant Southall

Donna Rose Southall, 80, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away May 30, 2015, at her home following an extended illness.

She was born March 1, 1935, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a daughter of the late Graham C. and Helen R. (Robinson) Whisnant.

She was the former owner and operator of D & J Sales in Ripley, and a member of the Crafty Ladies Group at her second home in Satellite Beach, FL. She was seamstress, an artist, enjoyed crocheting, and was a volunteer with the Jackson General Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years; daughters; sister. She was a loving grandmother.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Donna’s caregivers, Joyce Osborne and Polly Honeycutt.

Service will be 7 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood, WV, with Pastor Chris Skeens officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until time of service. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
