Donald Ray Whisenhunt

Donald “Donnie” Ray Whisenhunt, age 61, a resident of Conway, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway. He was born in Moscow, Idaho on November 16, 1953.

Donnie worked in construction during the latter years of his life, but was best known for the days at his gas station, Don’s Kerr-McGee in Horatio, Arkansas. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and daughters.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Verna Staggs Campbell and Pete Whisenhunt.

He is survived by his children, Ashley (Gabe) Knight and Christy (Dale) Elliott, and grandchildren Ava and Emrie all of Conway. A sister, Debbie (Junior) Jaquess of Ben Lomond, Arkansas and brothers, Doyle “Hobunk” Whisenhunt of Ben Lomond, Billy (Tracy) Campbell of Texarkana, Arkansas and Jimmy Dale (Shirley) Whisenhunt of South Carolina and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Donnie will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen, Arkansas. Burial will follow in the Old Piney Cemetery.
