Barbara D. Whisenhunt Barbara D. Whisenhunt, 77, of Round Rock, Tex., formerly of Port Orange, FL, passed away August 12, 2009. She was born August 21, 1931 in Winston-Salem, NC. Bobbie, as she was known to her friends and family, was a graduate of the Bowman-Gray School of Nursing in Winston-Salem, NC. She was also a member of Westminster by-the-Sea Presbyterian Church. During her life she worked as a nurse, a daycare director and a full-time mother. She was a member of the G.E. Wives and was a past President with the Palmetto Women's Club in Daytona Beach, FL. She enjoyed cooking, family camping, world travel and "porch time". She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Millie Dull, and grandson, Vincent Valdespino. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Joe Whisenhunt; three daughters, Carolyn Wilder and husband Roland, Joan Vasbinder and husband Damon, Cheryl Brown and husband Rob; three grandchildren, Edward Valdespino, David Valdespino and wife Rebecca, and Brittany Brown; and a great-granddaughter, Natilynn Acosta-Brown.
