Elsa Marianne 'Anne' Whisnant

Elsa Marianne "Anne" Whisnant, 78, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2003 in Medford, Ore.

Anne was born July 14, 1925 in Mount Shasta to George and Floyce Simmonds. She moved back to Siskiyou County in 1966 from San Jose. She attended the Montague Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, RPEA Chapter 37.

Survivors include sons, Bruce Carlson of San Jose, Mark Whisnant of Montague and Jeff Whisnant of Prospect, Ore.; four sisters, Georgia Stapper of Hayward, Sarah Simmonds of Pleasanton, Marjorie Sedlock and Martha J. Dunn, both of Mount Shasta; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Private burial took place at Evergreen Cemetery in Yreka.
