Julie Shytle
WILMINGTON Mrs. Jewel Julie Harris Shytle, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, in the Hospice Care Center in Wilming-ton.
She was the daughter of Charles W. Harris and Brent Elliott Harris of Mooresboro.
She was formerly of Mooresboro and attended Gardner-Webb College. She continued her pursuit of art education as long as she was able.
Many friends and relatives benefited from her skills as an artist.
She was preceded in death by husbands Hal P. Whisnant Jr. and John Slyder.
She is survived by her husband John Jack Shytle of Supply; two daughters, Rebecca Whisnant Harrelson of Florence, S.C. and Megan Whisnant Heuring of Wilmington and one son, Hal P. Whisnant III of Raleigh; a brother C.W. Harris Jr. and his wife, Geraldine of Mooresboro, two sisters, Nancy H. Ramsey of Columbia, S.C., and Carolyn H. Elliott and her husband, Bill of Macon, Ga.; four granddaughters, Rebecca Harrelson of Florence, Katherine and Emma Whisnant of Raleigh, Makenzie Whisnant Davis of Wilmington and five grandsons, John M. Harrelson Jr. of Birmingham Ala., Hunter Whisnant Glover of Wilmington, and Sam, Ian and William Whisnant of Raleigh.
The funeral will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Sandy Run Baptist Church in Mooresboro.
Burial will follow at Polkville Methodist Church beside their childrens father.
Coble Ward Funeral Home of Wilmington is in charge of arrangements.
