Doris Faye Whisenant

Doris Whisenant, age 72 of Gainesville, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, Georgia. She was Baptist by faith and a 30-year employee of Red Lobster. Mrs. Whisenant was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John Whisenant who passed in 2004 and her brother, J.P. McLeroy.

Survivors include her sons, John and Michael Whisenant of Birmingham, AL.; daughter, Debbie Swanson of Gainesville, GA.; brother, Donnie McLeroy of Birmingham, AL.; sister, Carolyn Statham of Hayden, AL. Two grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survived.

Graveside Services will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery 1 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009 in Ashville, AL.
