JoAnne Whisenant

HICKORY --- JoAnne Hoyle Whisenant died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Frye Regional Medical Center.

Born in Burke County on Jan. 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Grayson and Lula Newton Hoyle.

She was a retired employee of K-Mart.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ted D. Whisenant.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Ronai Whisnant of Vale; daughters, Annette Whisenant and Kim Whisenant, both of Hickory; a brother, Harold Hoyle of Marion; and grandson, Randy Whisenant of Hickory.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Boston officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Morganton.
