Note*James Ellsworth Whisenhunt Note: This information came from Ellen Eustus Hokanson. He served in the south Pacific during World War II. I believe in the 2nd div of the Marines. He served time in Stockton barracks, or what every they call the disiplinary unit there. It was at this time that he got in touch with me after Terry died. We corresponded for awhile during which time he was sent to patrol in China, and when released from his service obligation spent some time in Tyler, Texas in the oil fields. After that he was in Oregon in the timber country, a back woods small store where he was part time postal service in the store where folks came to get the mail. I don't recall the name of the place, something like Timber. It was about this time that he met and married Ellen, as though that was supposed to make up for our past transgressions. I believe Jimmy was catholic. His mother was in Chula Vista, CA. I called his mother Mom Kaye. His father was in the navy, an officer, if I'm not mistaken.
