She never married. She was known for her sewing abilities. Sallie was always quick to help anyone she sensed was in need, and she had a very gracious way about it. Although she never had children of her own, she was 'grandmother' to her brother Houston's children.
Daniel Webster Whisnant never married. He died quite suddenly from an unknown cause, possibly of complications from phenomena. He was engaged to be married at the time of his death.
