Note*He died of lung cancer at the age of 70. His military occupation as PFC for 11 months was truck driver, light(345), then as a T/5 for 18 months he was a driver of a half-track(931). He was part of the 113 Cavalry GP. The battles and campaigns that he was involved in are as follows: Ardennes, No France, Rhineland, Central Euope Campaigns. He was awarded 4 bronze stars for the above mentioned campaigns and the good conduct medal. His honorable discharge papers are dated December 25, 1945 at Jefferson Barracks Missouri. His colonel of the 113th was William D. Biddle. Shortly after arriving in England they became a Mechanized Cavalry Group, comprising Group Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 113th cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron and 125th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron.
